Below is a daily summary for the week. Click here to see a complete schedule.
SUNDAY

Registration begins at 3:30, followed by dinner at 6:00 and an all-camp worship time at 7:00! As soon as worship is over, we'll head over to the ballfield for team assignments - as usual, we'll have one Red Rangers and the Blue Broncos. Once we know which team we're on, we'll go to Horse class to learn what horse each person will be riding this week! We'll also spend some time getting to know each other with some fun games and activities! Evening vespers around the campfire will be at 9:30, then we'll have some time to hang out and get to know each other, with lights out at 11:30. Sleep well, because we have a BIG week ahead of us!
MONDAY

Today we'll take our first horseback ride of the week! Beginners and Intermediates will learn to saddle and bridle their own horse, and learn the basics of horseback riding. Trail Riders and Advanced riders will be refreshed on the basics, and then head out to the trails! The pool will be open during free time if you want to swim. We'll also be doing the Ropes Course today, and getting introduced to our Bible lessons and the theme of the week. The evening activity will be a night swim, as long as the weather cooperates!
TUESDAY

Tuesday you may be feeling a little saddle sore, but you'll be excited to learn more about horses and riding techniques, and you'll spend more time riding and less time saddling your horse! Again, the pool will be open during free time for swimming and diving. Our evening activity tonight is a hayride! Memorize your favorite song and joke, and share it with your new friends on the hay wagon!
WEDNESDAY

Today is the same stuff as Tuesday on the daily schedule, with horse back riding, Bible study, Free time and pool time. Tonight, though, is very special! Wednesday night we'll have our firesides, which campers look forward to every year. A small group of campers will sign up to go to a campfire with one or two counselors, and sit around the fire and talk about whatever your group of campers wants to talk about. This is often a very meaningful time of sharing, and it is for you, the camper! Talk about whatever's on your mind, and the counselors will listen and answer your questions.
THURSDAY

Thursday is our talent show! Can you sing? Dance? Twirl a baton, or tell a good joke? Bring along your props, music, and whatever else you need, and sign up to share your talent with the group! We have skits, variety acts, songs, magic, comedy, and whatever other unique talent you'd like to share. A piano is available if you want to play a song. Get ready for a night of fun and laughs! Our Thursday evening vesper service is a special one as well.
FRIDAY

Friday is the BIG DAY - we have our end of the week Horse Show at 2:00! Here you will showcase your riding skills and all that you learned during the week! Each riding level (Beginner, Intermediate, Trail Rider, and Advanced) will compete with other riders in their skill level for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons. All riders will get to ride and take part in this event, and parents and family are invited to come and watch! Anyone interested in coming to watch your camper in the show, just arrive Friday before 2:00 and come to the Horse Barn. The Horse Show will be in the adjacent corral. Friday night we will have our annual Dance in the gymnasium, so bring your favorite CDs (appropriate music only, please), and we'll play them for the dance! There will be a Sound System in the gym this year, so we won't be just playing a little CD player this year. You will hear the music! We'll end the dance with a group circle and sing "Friends are Friends Forever" by Michael W. Smith.
SATURDAY

The only day of the week that we get to sleep in a little bit! Breakfast is at 8:30 instead of 7:45, so you can catch a few extra minutes of sleep! Our closing activity is at 9:00 - we'll have a special time of communion and sharing together. 9:30-10:00 is clean up and pack up time. Then, sadly, it's time to say goodbye for another year. Parent pickup is from 10-11 am. But we'll all be able to keep in touch throughout the year, thanks to email and the telephone!
